We managed to capture on video our gilt 'Peggy' farrowing her last piglet (number 10) the piglet survived and is doing really well along with all it's siblings!
We have a number of Swallows nesting at Gilbury Farm. This pair have been nesting here for some years now.
The Gilbury Farm Swallow Chicks have hatched today and here the parent has returned to feed the tiny new chicks. watch for the little bill pop up to take the feed.
The Gilbury Farm Swallow chicks are hatching, here the parent returns to find a newly hatch chick and removes the empty shell to keep the nest clean. She will take the shell far away from the nest in order to avoid predators discovering the chicks.
This year they are building a new nest a few inches from last years...
