Eggs for Eating

Our flock of rare breed hens is in the process of expanding. We currently have Welsummers, lots of Light Sussex (because their eggs are the best we've ever had), and some French Copper Black Marans, which lay a dark chocolate coloured egg. The young Araucana hens we bought last year have just started laying too and lay a vibrant blue egg.

Currently we sell our eggs direct to customers who come to the house or live locally for delivery. However, later this year we hope to gain our producer number and registration as an egg packaging centre which would mean we would sell our eggs through local shops in Lostwithiel. The current delay in this process is the house extension which is in the middle of construction; until it is complete we will not have the room which is to be the designated 'packaging area' (it needs meet a variety of regulations and be certified by Environmental Health). Buying our eggs

We sell our eggs for £1.50 for 6 or £2.50 for 12.  If you live locally and would like to set up a regular delivery of eggs from us please contact us via email or phone, or pop up to the house to meet the chickens and discuss your requirements.
