Chicken fried rice, just like from the Chinese takeaway

We love this dish, but haven't been able to eat it for years because we have never found a chinese takeaway that uses free range chicken or eggs. While Caitlin was pregnant she had such a craving for it she was nearly tempted to buy it but just couldn't bring herself to. Chicken liver with bread and butter

This is a delicious snack to have while your clearing up after the plucking and gutting stage. I am not a huge fan of liver generally but like this it is one of my favourite things and has been since I was a child when my mother used to make it for us to ensure we got a taste for liver. It's great for kids because it isn't a very strong flavour and you are not presenting them with a great slab of liver, which can be off putting. Read full recipe

Home fried chicken

We miss fried chicken! On the whole we are a healthy family who eat good healthy food, but just sometimes we crave this kind of fatty fried food.
