Courses

We hope to start running short courses in various aspects of smallholding and country crafts over the next few years. Many aspects of the farm are still in their infancy and we are far from being experts ourselves. However, there are some areas in which we have lots of experience and we enjoy helping others to gain experience also. We believe getting hands on experience is the best way to learn and is a good way of finding out if something is for you or not!

The courses we are running at the moment are:

• Rearing Chickens for the table
• Spinning Wool
• Touching Earth, rural crafts

The Future

We are looking into various other courses such as buying/fattening weaners, making chorizo and air dried ham, charcoal making, cooking with wild food, and setting up a smallholding. If you would be interested in learning about these or any other aspects of smallholding please do let us know.

Work experience

There is always loads to do on the farm and if you would like to gain some work experience or a taste of smallholding before taking the plunge, please contact us as we can always do with the help.
